Texas Yoga Association plans mass yoga class on Austin’s State Capitol lawn as they rally against regulation
Over 1,500 Texans have signed a petition sponsored by the Texas Yoga Association (TYA) to pass House Bills No. 1839 by Representative Phillips and 2167 by Representative Murphy that aim to keep government from regulating yoga. In support of moving the bills through legislation, the TYA invites yoga enthusiasts, state representatives and anyone who supports the future of health and wellness to practice yoga together on the Southeast corner of the Texas State Capitol lawn at Congress and 11th Street. House Representative Eddie Lucio III will lead other representatives and staff to meet the yoga enthusiasts in promotion of a healthy lifestyle, and musician David Berkeley will be flying in from Atlanta to perform at the peaceful demonstration. Jill Moser: Editions – Artist Reception
Wade Wilson Art is pleased to announce Jill Moser’s Editions, the artist’s first exhibit in Houston to focus solely on her collaborative edition and print work. Moser’s first book called The Introvert, will be featured with several of her recent print projects. The Daze releases Straightjacket Hymns at Antone’s
The Daze will release their multifarious debut album, Straightjacket Hymns, on August 27. Prior to that on August 14, the band and their song, “Blizzard Woman Blues,” will be on the big screen in the upcoming feature film, “Bandslam,” scheduled to hit theatres nationwide on August 14. Members Evan Butts (guitar/vocals), Chris Ritchie (bass), and Aaron Lemke (drums/percussion) will celebrate the release with a performance at Austin’s legendary Antone’s Nightclub on August 27.

Wendy Wagner takes the Qwerkys™ to Japan :: Artist Reception
Houston-based artist Wendy Wagner takes her beloved, whimsical paintings and Qwerkys™ to Japan. Gallery Trinity, located at 9-6-19-1F Akasaka in the Roppongi district of central Tokyo, will display the latest collection of Wagner’s paintings as well as her soft sculpture line, the Qwerkys™. The exhibit opens Tuesday, June 2 and will remain on view until Saturday, June 20.
